John Hardy, Immediate Past Chairman
Corporate Credit Manager, Emerson Hardwood Co.

I was born and raised in Texas, lived in Utah, and then moved to Colorado where I attended Western State College in Gunnison. In 1976, I transferred to Corvallis to finish my college education. After graduating from Oregon State University in 1978, I relocated to Portland to start my career. I first became aware of NACM when I was employed in retail credit. I took several basic credit classes in order to increase my job knowledge. I held several positions in commercial credit management and took advantage of NACM’s services, which included education classes, access to credit reporting, and industry credit groups. I was a member of Electrical, Wood Fabrication, Floor Covering, and Food Industry Credit Groups. Being both a member and leader of these industry groups over the course of my 35-year credit career, gave me a direct insight to the benefits of membership in NACM. I am proud that I was elected to the NACM Oregon Board of Directors. I served as Chairman of the Board in 2012-13. I will contiue as a member of the NACM Oregon Board of Directors as long as the Association feels I can contribute and help make NACM Oregon’s members feel we are their best resource for credit-related services.

Raeann Binau, ICCE/RGCP, Director
Credit Manager, Columbia Machine, Inc.

I am a Pacific Northwest native born and raised in Banks, Oregon, a proud graduate of Oregon State University, and now currently living in Goldendale, Washington. My husband, Ed, has 40 years as a Union Pacific Railroad conductor and we have two daughters who both live in Seattle. No one goes to school to be a credit manager; we seem to fall into it. Back in the 1980’s, I was working for Chemlawn, Inc., out in the field, married young, and soon became pregnant and needed to work inside. This is where my credit experience started, which led me to management positions in credit with Reser’s Fine Foods, Danner Boot, and Airgas. I currently work as credit manager for Columbia Machine, Inc. International credit became my passion and focus, and today, I focus on the mentoring, training, and ambassador aspect of the credit industry. I love the outdoors and spend hours in my yard and garden. Hiking and camping is how we spend our summers with our five lovable dogs.

Jacqueline Bloom, CBA, Director
Credit Manager, Wright Business Graphics

I was born in Ogden, Utah, when my father was stationed at Hill Air Force Base. I was seven years old when he retired and we moved home to Oregon. My first exposure to NACM was with my very first job as a credit investigator in 1981. Through four decades and various employers, NACM has always been my primary source for information, support, education, and networking. It is with honor that I now serve this organization, and it is my sincere desire to keep this vital resource available for many generations to come. In our down time, my husband and I enjoy spending time with our adult daughter, fishing, gardening, traveling, and the playfulness of our many pets.

Will Campbell, Director
President, Standard Supply Company

I was born and raised a fourth generation Oregonian. I attended Mt. Hood Community College as an art major until I found out that most artists starve. I toyed with higher education and worked jobs as a ranch hand and made hay balers for a while. Then in 1978, I started working at Standard Supply Company, progressing from the warehouse, to inside and outside sales, to management. My wife Patti and I married that same year. In 2005, two other long-term employees and myself bought Standard Supply and I became President. My wife is a volunteer for Guide Dogs for the Blind and Meals on Wheels. When we can we enjoy traveling anywhere. We also enjoy spending time with our two grown children and our two perfect granddaughters.

Tawnya Marsh, CBA, Director
Credit & A/R Supervisor, Columbia River Knife & Tool

I grew up in Eugene where I worked for a large independently owned home improvement store. This is where I was “thrown” into credit as most credit professionals would say. I got involved with NACM and CFDD while in that position and that is where I received most of my credit education. I obtained my CBA certification in 1999 and plan to start working toward my CBF in the coming year. I moved to Portland with my family in 2007 and started working as Credit & Customer Service Manager for CRKT. I have served on the CFDD board since 2008, most recently serving as chapter President and strongly believe in what they stand for. I am look forward to serving on the NACM Oregon Board. My husband and I stay rather busy with our two small children, and love spending time with them. We also like taking trips to the beach or traveling anywhere when we get the chance.

Scott Smithhisler, Director
Vice President Global Trade Services, U.S. Bank

I'm a Washington native and have lived in the Portland area since 1980. For me credit and NACM are both part of a diverse background in international business. I spent a few years in international banking operations, then for 25 years was with Nike, Inc., focused primarily on business development in Latin America, Africa, Central and Eastern Europe, and the Middle East. Over time I worked in foreign sales, international credit, regional and corporate operations, trade finance, and supply chain. I had the opportunity to do a lot of travel and to live overseas for a while. In May 2012, I joined U.S. Bank working with large companies across the western United States. Early on, NACM played an important educational role for me and I've enjoyed being a longtime International Trade Group member. I strongly believe NACM provides a vital contribution to Oregon's business community and am honored to help with its continued success.
